Let's dispel some unhealthy 'ideas' you may have about exercise...
IDEA 1: Exercising with my own body weight will make me big and muscular!
Using your own body weight to tone up is NOT a body building program. Ladies - you have a slim chance of actually building bulky muscle, due to the low level of the growth hormone 'testosterone' that you have in your body. You WILL build muscle but it will be long and lean. The more lean tissue you possess, the higher your metabolism will become and the more fat your body will burn. The end result means you will actually be stronger but slimmer!
IDEA 2: Exercise is boring!
Exercise is only boring if you let it become boring. Firstly, if you don't live in the moment and be conscious of what you are doing and how it feels, you will never warm to the idea. Secondly, if you persist on doing the same exercises, day-in day-out, with no change in resistance or order, your brain will turn to mush. This Plan is neither repetitive nor easy to do in an 'autopilot' fashion! People often find things boring that they haven't given a chance to appreciate yet...
IDEA 3: I don't have time to exercise!
In life we don't have time for a lot of things, but when it comes to your health you really need to give it the time of day. A small investment in your own health will lead to more time - time to enjoy life, time to see retirement in good health, and therefore, more time on this planet! You spent time studying to get a better job to lead a better life. The same is true of exercise. Invest a little time in gaining a more functional body and you will continue to lead a better life!
IDEA 4: Exercise hurts!... Doesn't it?
Not on this plan! Exercise only hurts if it is done incorrectly or if you push yourself too far too soon, by lifting more weight or going for longer than your body is capable of sustaining. The 'pain' you refer to is often a by-product of not concentrating on the exercise that you are doing. Focus on what you are doing and how it feels. If you are careful and work at a pace that is right for your current fitness levels you will NOT feel pain.
IDEA 5: I don't know where to start or what to do!
With an effective fitness Camp to go to, there is no room for this excuse in your life anymore. Such a program is your map to improved fitness and better nutrition, hopefully seen from a new perspective, mentally. Everything is taken care of. You gain social support and knowledge of what does and doesn't work for fat loss. It's up to you to use them to the best of your ability..
